With the summer over and winter hot on our heels we may experience a feeling of loss and disappointment this 2020. It has been a hard year for many and certainly has led to some testing times faith wise. Many have lost jobs and had plans for the summer cancelled, maybe a holiday or a live music event or even a much longed for and planned wedding, we were certainly expecting to go to church most Sundays, well things have changed and coronavirus has raised the bar for social activity with isolation, stay at home and stay safe and social distancing that has made all of us acutely aware that we are in isolation and many people living alone are lonely and worried about their mental health.
Matthew 14 22-33 Verses 27: We see Jesus calling Peter to come to Him and get out of the boat. Sometimes we need to put aside our fear and reach out to the Lord. Have faith and take courage. Yes Peter had to cry out to the Lord to save him because he concentrated on the waves and the storm and took his eyes of the Lord. If we take our eyes off Jesus the cares of the world will overcome us, but if we maintain faith and seek the Lord we will be overcomers. If the Lord is leading you to a new Christian companionship then pray and have faith. Ask the Lord for peace not fear andstep out of the boat.
This time in history is part of God’s plan for you and this time can have positive aspects as The Lord has this period under His control and if we focus on Him rather than the storm that is raging around us at this time it can be a time of great blessing. Pray about all things and have faith and do not let fear be your guiding force.
